City Eye has a wealth of experience in delivering creative filmmaking projects in schools and outside of the curriculum including documentary drama and animation.
Families and young people can engage with a range of workshop and project activities across term time and holidays. Our approach is to make filmmaking fun and informative. The process is of equal importance to the outcome for us, and the experience of a City Eye project often has a positive life-long impact on young people - whether they aspire to a career in film and its related industries or benefit from the range of personal and life skills which the process of filmmaking can help to develop. Our Young Filmmakers programme runs on Wednesday evenings in term time, where young people aged 12-18 can come along and learn all about the process of filmmaking and work in a group to bring their own projects come to life. For slightly older young filmmakers, we are very excited to be launching the 1825 Filmmakers group early in 2023. The monthly sessions will offer the opportunity for anyone age 18-25 to meet-up and work together; planning and working on projects and films with support from the City Eye team. We are delighted to announce that City Eye has been selected to deliver the BFI Film Academy Short Course for 16-19s in 2023. For teaching staff we are able to deliver CPD and inset training days providing support and development across all aspects of the filmmaking process. If you have a project idea or you are looking for specific training and you would like to chat about this, please contact City Eye. |
