film school films
I enjoyed filming, directing and coming up with different scenes. I liked how we used the lights to create different effects and moods in the film. I learnt about monopods, different lighting and different techniques. I think the best part was the filming as we went to different locations and I learnt more about lighting & exposure, doing different shots and panning the camera. -  Indy
I enjoyed using the lights to create an effect. Best part was definitely location filming though! I loved panning the camera to show more of a movement. Good fun day for everyone. If I was to change one thing it would be how fast 6 hours go! I've been going for just over 3 years now and I love it. And I've met good friends - Daisy

Have you ever wondered how films are made?  Or are you a young filmmaker or actor who wants to learn a few more tricks on your journey to Hollywood? If this is the case then Film School may just be for you.

Film School is a wonderful way for young people to engage with the world of filmmaking. Run during school holidays, it is a great source of extra curricula activity and helps bring together like-minded young people to explore their passion for film in a fun and rewarding way. Led by Rachel Stephens, Film School is designed specifically to meet the needs of younger filmmakers whilst offering a great day of school holiday creative fun!

Film School is ideal for those new to film or those who have attended Film School before and want to develop their ideas and skills further.

So if you have a passion for filmmaking and/or acting and you want to develop your artistic skills further then City Eye's Film School could be the place for you.

All films made at Film School will be posted onto the Film School Films page on the City Eye website or on the City Eye YouTube channel where you can share them with friends and family.

Film School - Levels 1 and 2

Picture
Level 1 is generally for younger children and Level 2 for older ones.

That being said, we are happy to discuss any young person's needs and abilities to ensure that regardless of age, they join the best group for them.

Parents of young children are very welcome to stay throughout the day or just for the early part to ensure that children are settled in.  This is not a requirement however, and if your child is confident and happy to be left with us, we will ensure that they are well cared for and having fun in no time at all!
