From it's early days as Southampton Film and Video Co-operative to the City Eye of today, we're delighted that the core objectives set out in April 1986 have stood the test of time. 'Making and screening film and video', 'training workshops and educational events' and 'regular meetings to enable discussion and exchange ideas' remain high on our agenda. The format may have changed over 40 years but the spirit lives on!
And so we're looking forward to the next 40 and our future at Studio 144, the new arts complex. It has been fantastic recently to go into the building and see our spaces taking shape, imagining the exciting work which will take place there; the events, activities and networking which will bring filmmakers and film enthusiasts together.
