City Eye is thrilled to be working again with Mayflower Engage to deliver this project
Mayflower Theatre and City Eye Young Filmmakers group is going online!
This exciting opportunity gives participants the chance to work with City Eye, to develop technical skills, confidence and creativity through film. An exciting time to gain experience of a filmmakers life.
You will be guided through weekly Zoom sessions to explore the film making process, looking at script writing, story boarding, filming and editing. Sessions will take place on Wednesday evenings during term times.
Places are limited. For ages 12- 18 yrs.
PLEASE NOTE NEW SESSION DATES
Sessions will take place every Wednesday on the following date
30 Sep, 7 Oct, 14 Oct, 21 Oct, 28 Oct.
Beginners: 6.00pm - 7.15pm
Intermediate: 7.30pm - 8.45pm
You will need:
A laptop/computer (rather than a phone) to work on
A camera or phone to shoot on
For the full programme participants will be required to sign up to use filmmaking programmes Celtx and Clipchamp - both of which offer free-to-use versions for personal use. You will be given more information and advice on setting up in the taster session.
These online interactive sessions are run through Zoom.
Mayflower appreciates that this may provoke a new set of considerations so has created an online safety document which will hopefully guide you through any concerns. At least one member of Mayflower Engage will be present for the full duration, whilst the session's learning will be led by City Eye's highly experienced staff.
We will ONLY send the Zoom link to participants who have registered. Once you have the link please do not pass on to anyone else.
