City Eye is proud to be an Associate Partner of Mayflower and of its regular collaborations with Mayflower Engage, the theatre's education and outreach team.
Mayflower and City Eye Young filmmakers is our programme of workshops and training delivered in partnership for the 12 - 18 age group.
This exciting opportunity gives participants the chance to develop technical skills, confidence and creativity through film.
Meeting on one evening a week during term time, the group is led by one of our experienced team members with lots of experience of filmmaking and teaching young people.
Participants will be guided to explore the full filmmaking process.
Recent in-person workshops have seen the Intermediate group document the Mayflower and MAST summer youth productions of Grimm Tales and Summer Holiday. In the on-line workshops prior to this dramas were concieved and scripted together, shot lists and approaches to filming agreed, then shot independently between the weekly sessions. Finally when all footage was gathered the groups members produced their own individual edit.
