City Eye run a myriad of workshops and training opportunities for teachers and trainers. Our support can be delivered on a one-to-one basis, in small groups or with large classes. We also prepare projects to suit the needs and time constraits of youth lead organistaions and educational establishments.
Training can be in general filmmaking skills or can be broken down into separate components like camera techniques or editing skills. City Eye also deliver workshops and inset training on specific filmmaking projects and help teachers with the training needed to teach these lessons in their classrooms.

(Comedy Drama) Corpus Christi Primary School City Eye ran a 5-week after school club (90 mins a week) for 6 teachers at Corpus Christi Primary School. The aim was to train the teachers in filmmaking skills so that they could develop their knowledge and incorporate new skills into their classroom work. After consultation with the staff members involved it was decided that they would make a short comedy drama which would allow them the chance to go through the whole filmmaking process. The film was devised, written, shot and edited by the staff members with them all taking turns at the various jobs needed in filmmaking; directing, camera operation, sound recording, producing, acting and editing.The film was shot using the schools own camera and sound equipment and was edited on the schools computer system using Adobe Premiere Elements 7. |
