Get Started in Film with Prince's Trust

In October 2018 a group of young adults joined us at City Eye for a 5 day introduction to filmmaking.  Participants, all new to filmmaking , were given the opportunity to explore the process from story idea to screening - and each did so in a most impressive way!
Through the project we discovered talents for writing, camera work, audio, graphic design, editing and presentation and considered career options.

The films below throw a spot-light on the skills and knowledge the group developed across the week; each is an example of their work supported by the City Eye crew but for which they took full responsibility and of which they should be very proud.  At the end of the week participants conducted and filmed interviews with each other to reflect on their experience through the project.

We congratulate all who took part and are grateful to work with Prince's Trust again to deliver this Get Started programme. We had a great time and applaud everyone for excellent attendance, motivation and for sharing their ideas so generously.  Here's to the great friendships made!

The project concluded with the films 'Dear Anxiety' & 'Ready to Talk' launching the 2018 programme for Southampton Film Week  presented by the participants to an invited audience of dignatories, film specialists and their own friends and family.
