City Eye has been promoting video production within Southampton and the surrounding area since 1987 and is a not for profit company limited by guarantee and with charitable status. City Eye receives financial support from Southampton City Council, and Screen South the film and media agency for the South.

City Eye works with a wide range of people in the community who participate in training courses and video projects. We are regularly commissioned to make videos and the variety of work is stimulating and the issues challenging. City Eye also helps individuals seeking to produce independent film and/or video productions with the assistance of Screen South/Film Council funding. Through our own Production Award Scheme, City Eye provides free access to equipment for first and second time filmmakers. Equal opportunity of access to our facilities and services is the cornerstone of our existence and work.

City Eye's aim is to create an artistic hub based around film and video production in the region. City Eye is here to help the community, arts organisations, individuals, emerging and established talent.
