Learn how to make a short film, from
conception to screening, with City Eye’s professional filmmakers. Working in a small group you will develop your understanding of filmmaking with this exciting course that will take you through all the stages of creating a short film - a great springboard into digital filmmaking. During the course you will improve your understanding of the camera and learn to control the quality of your image. You will also learn the skills needed to produce high quality sound for your films before moving on to editing your film ready for a premiere showcase at a City Eye screening night. This course is suitable for new or developing filmmakers. The training will cover:
Developing skills in camera and sound Lighting techniques Developing scripts into storyboards and shot lists Casting Planning your shoot including props and locations Creating shooting schedules Location shoots Post production including sound and picture editing Creating DVDs Course tutor: Antony Batchelor has worked at City Eye for 6 years and has run many training and education projects and courses and he has run the digital filmmaking course twice before. Several films produced on these courses have screened at local and National film festivals including the film Killing Time which won second prize at the Meniscus Short Film Festival in 2009. Antony is passionate about film and filmmaking and enjoys the process of teaching filmmaing to the highest standard. |
