Learn how to develop your skills in digital filmmaking using low cost SD cameras and free and accessible editing software, enabling you to turn your raw
footage into great films. During this workshop your tutor will help you to understand the changing digital world and to aid your digital storytelling. Suitable training for primary school teachers who are introducing filmmaking into their schools and for secondary school teachers delivering Film and Media Studies and want to develop their skills to support students. The training will cover: Understanding SD card cameras Understanding different file formats Developing good camera technique Capturing footage Understanding the editing software Basic editing Adding sound and titles Exporting your films Please note: City Eye can provide laptops and cameras though it is recommended that attendees bring their own so that they be assured that the work they learn is sustainable. On arrival at the training day your laptop will be loaded with the software in preparation for the training (please ensure the laptop you bring has permissions to load new software). It is possible for City Eye to send a link so that software can be loaded before the training day.
