Introduction to Digital Filmmaking
Early in 2007 six people joined the City Eye Digital Filmmaking Course. Alongside a series of focused skills based training sessions the group made a short film. The resultant short, Death with Dignity, received its premiere screening at City Eye in September 2007. This somewhat irreverent comedy about death and cut price funerals was written, shot and edited by students of the course with support from City Eye by way of the Course Leader, Antony Batchelor and Creative Director, David White. The film was resourced using City Eye equipment and facilities.

The film has gone on to be shown at events such as Portsmouth Screen 2007 and is currently being entered into various festivals around the country.

In addition to this City Eye backed the same group of filmmakers in the DV Mission 48hr Film Challenge 2007 and their film can been seen online at http://www.youtube.com/dvmission - look for the clip marked City Eye.
