OUR FOOTSTEPS ON THE ROAD

A very rewarding, challenging and interesting project. The young people from Woodside PRU did a fantastic job and created a truly haunting film based around the themes of Pilot Theatre Company's play ROAD. Jo Darby of Pilot Theatre Company worked on the content of the video with the young people. City Eye then helped the young people interpret their ideas by producing an experimental film. City Eye was responsible for teaching the young people video techniques so that they could do all of the filming themselves. City Eye then took the footage and edited it together.

The following is taken from Pilot Theatre Company's website:
"Pilot Theatre Company worked with young people at Woodside Pupil Referral Unit and two video artists from City Eye to devise and make a video which was shown at the Atrium at Theatre Royal Winchester, to accompany Pilot's performance of Road. The weeks residency started on 27th January used themes and techniques from Pilot's performance and the video will be based on the young people's locality and experiences. They learned video techniques and have creative input into the filming of the piece. The group then attended Road at Winchester Theatre Royal between 11th and 15th February 2003. The projected was coordinated and run for Pilot by Jo Darby."
